fins4u blades with these Mares foot pockets?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Mares fits okay.

These blades are from Leaderfins - sandwich style carbon (i also use these, im happy with these)
There are also newer blades what are pure carbon (bit better performance; lighter and snappier)

OK, where can i find these new blades?, on their website?
Also, has anyone else found that the foot pockets provided with FinsForu.com are terrible? So floppy and soft. Blades are good tho.
Anyone recommend other blades?

Pure Carbon Blades (100% carbon+epoxy) - Leaderfins

I dont think that they are waaaay better, maybe only 10%
My friend used these, sayed that these are lighter, thinner and more snappier/resposive/"faster"
Technicaly these are made with hot press method. Regular carbons are cold and isnt 100% pure carbon, just 1 layer of carbon on each side and in the middle is glassfiber - like name says - sandwich. Maybe regular ones are more duruable thanks to fiberglass.

I also have camo fiberglass blades (soft) from Leaderfins.
What can say..hmm..these are less responsive, but great-great quality and performance for such value

If you have more questions dont hesitate to ask,
All good!

So the "pure evolution blades" i linked are different to the ones you just linked? any good?

The pure evo blades are awesome, I use the round ended blades with Pathos foot pockets and they are the best fins I.ve ever used! I have medium stiffness

1st question:
What difference does a rounded end make?

2nd question:
Are the Pathos foot pockets good? Are they solid and not all floppy like the last foot pockets I got with fins from fins4u.com fins a year ago. They were so bad, lost so much energy through finning in them, they would bend and stretch and wobble sideways, terrible, anyway..

3rd question:
Can you articulate the difference for me, between...

These fins (Stereoblades Carbon Mix):"
Stereoblades Carbon Mix With Pathos F/Pockets

These fins (Pure evolution):
Fins4u Pure Evolution 100% Pure Carbon

And these fins (Stereowaves Fibre):
Stereoblades Carbon Mix With Pathos F/Pockets

Thanks

The old foot pockets used are leaderfins own brand, and they have since changed them so they are harder.. But personally i find the pathos foot pockets to be the best, which is why we use them with our products (pure evolution - please note these are not leaderfins, but our own design and pure carbon) - also as mentioned above we now add them to the stereoblades carbon, to offer a lighter and better foot pocket option
Difference between the models are basically, the more carbon (pures) the better quality the blade, so they are lighter and more reactive...Stereoblades carbon mix, are both carbon and fibreglass (two carbon layers, either side of fibreglass), then you have the stereowaves fibre, which are only fibreglass....

Hope this helps!

Carbon is stronger than fibreglass (although as its stronger you dont need as many layers, which is what makes them lighter) - Another advantage of pathos foot pockets is that the blades are stuck to them, rather than screwed in (which in my opinion creates a weakness)

Just a slightly different design (similar to the sporasub thought process on a rounded edge)

well in theory the extra length would displace a tiny but more water, but i wondered if there was more to it than that

Hi never tried these fins , I got a set from special fins. They are fab I know the cost was quite high BUT they are my pride and joy worth every penny . They helped me with type , size etc delivery quick etc very helpful guys. Was going to get some from fins4u for spearing this year .
