Float Comparison

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I LOVE my boogie board for hunting!! after you tag something big you just lay on it and pull the line up with your arms. that being said I have a 10ft bungee (300% stretch) connected to it just in case.
a SS plate on the top side (maybe 6in X 6in) with the line threaded through it should fix any chance of a pull-through. My next addition to this float.

This boogie board (tm) thing gets back to my question about the necessity for a float to be deflatable, foldable or able to be rolled up for transport, excepting air flight; but even then, is anyone here using a lifeguard can or plank as illustrated in Mass' Blue water Hunting and is the small stowage issue really an issue?

I ask as I'm currently in development of a float and your inputs are appreciated.

I like a big flat float like mine - I can carry stuff on it and it has a low profile (for wind). can put lunch, flashers, another gun up top and it still wont effect my drag when I'm swimming.

on the otherhand, if you cold make a float like the RA 35L with a tire inflator that I could gas up to 50psi, I would be in heaven.

I put four holes on my boogie boards, put plastic drain inserts (from a boat supply place in Portugal) and threaded stainless steel aircraft cable through them. The fish have to break the boogie board into 8 pieces before he can get free. When I get settled down and have completed my new toy, I will have to post pictures.

sven, any float that keeps the fish fresh (ie, not sun baked) and out of the taxman's reach would be a winner. also, because the tax issue is only that big on a shore dive, its got to be low drag, above and below the waterline, if you dont mind :t
