Mike, the 111 and the 11:11 happen to many people besides me. I am intrigued by it in a campy sort of way, but there others who are seriously cultish about it. I'm not kidding. Check out the following sites.

Apparently those who see the 111 or the 11:11 frequently are people who agreed in a past life of some sort to be "awakened" by these symbols today, awakened to do what, I dunno... I can't read those pages for too long. It hurts. rofl
Although I will admit that the 111 is still happening to me in astounding ways. In Costa Rica, there was this salsa in the restaurant at our hotel that my uncle really liked (my uncle is the guy who got me started on the 111). He lamented on how he would never find said salsa anywhere in USA. A few days later we were at the local "supermercado" and guess what he noticed on the shelves? He was ready to buy several bottles when he noticed something. Every product in the store had a little white sticker on it with two numbers - the price and another 6-digit number (product code I'm guessing)? The code on his salsa was 111 111.
We also saw a cement sewer lid that someone had written in before the cement dried. "JAH RASTA IRIE 111" He had told me before that 111 was symbolic to the rastas but this was still a cool sighting. And my friend works with a rastafarian electrician who he says has 111 on his helmet.
The recent movies "The Big Empty" and "Mystic River" both featured the 111 and the 11:11 (although it was probably an honest coincidence in the latter, in the former I think it was very intentional and probably somewhat related to the scary cult I referenced above, when you consider the movie's weird ending). According to my uncle, "Hollywood has gotten ahold of the 111 and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of it." I'm not sure how seriously he takes this stuff sometimes...
To reiterate, I'm mostly amused by all of this. Who knows, maybe it does mean something. But I haven't been taken in by the 11:11 "Spirit Guardians" cult just yet... rofl
