Foot pockets, glued or screwed?

I am considering the Prana fins by Cetma Composites and have the option of getting them with either glued foot pockets or screwed that detach for easier transportation. I know that glued foot pockets extend the durability of the blade but I'm trying to figure out just how big a difference it makes and if there are any other advantages or disadvantages to consider. If I opt for screwed foot pockets I think the fins will just barely fit in my bag that I always take as a carry on. With glued foot pockets I think I would have to carry my fins separately which would be quite inconvenient. Any insights are greatly appreciated, thank you.

I'm worried about the same thing, i'm about to buy glued in fins i think. I own a pair of plastics that breakdown.

what is your experiences with carrying on fins in planes? I think you can just carry them as they are (i've done this once)

I’ve never owned fins before so couldn’t tell you. But yeah a friend of mine just carries her as a carry on. I’m about to lug mine all over Bali though so having them fit inside my bag would be a big advantage. But if there’s serious disadvantages to screwed foot pockets I would consider glued.
