hi Mundial.. i was in the UAE for Eid. There were many gatherings, shows and festivals etc, but what i did notice that there was no traffic on the roads between 19/20th. Everyone was at home with their families or at Mosque. In respect of the holy days, no alcohol was served in the hotels and some restaurants were closed. Only family type restaurants were open.

The family spirit and dedication to what's important is very noticeable in the Muslim world. Its a religion and part of the world that is so often misunderstood. After Eid, the shopping centres were filled with entire families, husbands, wives and children together, sharing moments and spending time together. It was truly a wonderful feeling. It was like seeing the meaning of Christmas enjoyed by real Christians, as opposed to people celebrating Christmas by waiting for presents and getting slammed on alchohol. (yes, i am also guilty).

i wish a happy holyday for our muslem friends , but i am a jew
anyway i've got a lot of muslem friends!!!!!!!!and i think its nice to
say happy holyday even if i'm not celebrating this one ....
its bad sometimes the Muslim world and the religion are so often misunderstood!!!!
i was glad to wish all cristians a mary cristmes also and i didnt celebrate
cristmes
