Has anyone experienced knee injuries during or soon after the use of Force Fins?
I purchased a pair of Pro Force Fins not long after a friend acquired his. He was very positive about the benefits of the fins and I certainly found them to be less strain on the hamstrings and were brilliant for manoeuvrability.
The guidance indicates that the fins can be used in surf but while using them body boarding my friend incurred an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury. Two or three months later, and soon after I had been using my fins every day on holiday, I suffered the same injury to my knee.
Because the fin action is primarily from the knee down, it does make me wonder whether the strain moves from the hamstrings to the knees instead. On the other hand it could just be coincidence and bad luck.
