Hi all,

I just joined the board. I'm a former competition diver from the Bay Area in California. I was CenCal diver of the year in 1988. There were a lot more fish back then......

I'm looking forward to participating in the discussions. The only spearfishing I do now is freediving for halibut, mostly at Tomales Bay.

Most of the diving I do now involves diving shipwrecks or diving for old bottles.

I also do a lot of metal detecting (mostly on land).

Besides all that (or because of it)....I'm a very boring person....

Hi Macaco, I somehow dont think you will be considered boring on DB.
Welcome. :)

Guernsey.....

Thanks Foxfish,

Guernsey is a place I would love to do some metal detecting and bottle hunting. Have you ever found old bottles while diving there?

Hi Macaco, why dont you join us on the Guernsey 2006 thread & ask that question again!
I think there are various wrecks that have produced interesting bottles?

Welcome!! by the way, Gibraltar is full of old wrecks, canonballs..what do you mean by bottle hunting?
