Announcement Forum Upgraded

Hi everyone - just a quick note to let you know that you may notice that we've upgraded the forums to the latest version of the forum software. This latest version of Xenforo takes us to the very latest in functionality and styling for the forums.

There are a myriad of new features, including a number of performance improvements, to make your experience of using the forums better.

If there are any questions or you find bugs please use this thread to report them.

..you got to be fuckin kiddin right ? you leave reported threads like the recent "word-assoziation game" on the forum just because its creating over 60.000 views ? you playing games man, this forum and you as the ceo-clown aint serious. better shut it down..

We review all reported threads quickly, generally within 24 hours. Review doesn't mean we take action depending on the issue. For your example, the Word Association game thread did not break any of the forum rules. It was in an off-topic forum (The Beach Bar), provided genuine entertainment to some members, and was not offensive. Hence, your reports were reviewed, but no action was taken.

It has nothing to do with views. 60,000 views are a tiny fraction of the site's monthly or yearly views, so there is no material benefit to the site for keeping it. The only benefit is to members who enjoy it.

This forum is here for our members. It has been running since 1999, and although not as popular/busy as it used to be (due to social media), it still holds immense value for the thousands of visitors and members who visit every week. You generate the value - the members - so feel free to post in relevant forums, respond to threads, and be welcoming to new members.

The forum looks cleaner and seems to be running smoothly so far. I’ll keep an eye out and report anything unusual if I notice it.

Relax. I have no interest in the Word Association game so I don't look at it. You don't have to look at it either.
