The DB forums and all of the internet seems full of discussions and videos of proper finning swimming technique for pool and sea disciplines. I would like to train free immersion but when I try to search for videos and tutorials for it, suddenly the internet seems an empty place. In my freediving course I learned free immersion means pulling the rope and did it a few times but learned nothing more about it. I am sure there is a lot of technique to be learned but where can I find it?

Does someone want to write a message detailing FIM technique, or at least link to resources elsewhere?

Thanks!

In the last big competitions all dives have been filmed by a uw drone called dive eye. You can find the videos on youtube. Just search for"FIM William Trubridge"...

Great footage!!!

If you need to use your hand to compensate during descent, do so after the pull to minimise risk of lung squeeze. In other words don’t pull and equalize in the same time.
