Hi,
i'm based in South Korea and have a few weeks holidays coming up in June.
I want to do a free diving course.
I had planned to do the course in Thailand but have just been informed they will be closed from April (?) to October(!!!).
Is anyone aware of any other courses around Sth East Asia?

Hi Sherrin, there are 2 freedive schools in Thailand. One is Apnea Total, the other is Blue Planet Divers. From what I was told, the instructor at Blue Planet has left for home due to personal reasons, and they do not know when he'll be back. This was a while back, so for all I know he may be back. Apnea Total should be open in June, the east coast is mostly diveable all year round.

Hello,
i have some holidays from about the 22nd July through to about the 2nd August.
Just long enough to do a free diving course.
I've emailed Apnea Total and expect to hear back from them soon and i am looking around for an airfare.
I live on Jeju Island - it's famous for its women divers who dive to collect seafood. They are called "haenyo" in Korean ("Jamsu" in dialect). I used to be a commercial fisherman - i made my living from the sea. I'd love to be able to dive with the haenyo.
