You have visibility to 70' but the spring goes to 120'. But its not a straight down dive, it runs diagonal between 70-120 ft

Is anyone still going? im looking for a freediving partner. nothing to extreme, i only dive to around 60 feet. but none of my friends can get even close to that. so it makes it difficult.

Hey Bud Welcome I havent been in a while, its been a crazy summer for me. You should look up some people on facebook at the Florida Spring Freedivers group. You might find a partner there. Look up a friend of mine, Brett. He dives alot.

Just a heads up I called up Blue Springs this morning and there are Manatees in the run and it's closed for swimming. Glad I called before making the drive.

I know these posts are a little old but does anyone know of any good springs to freedive other than blue springs? Im new to orlando and im looking for something just like blue springs with a depth around 50-100ft. Im dying to find another place because blue spring is closed right now b/c the damn manatee's. please feel free to message me

Not much close to you that I know of. Troy Springs, near Branford and Gainesville has something like70 ft, nice open dive, vis is usually decent in the am. There are a bunch of other springs in the area, Jennie for example, very clear but less depth. Further west is Morrison Springs. Check TampaDiving.com :: Your Source for Tampa Bay Diving & Boating Information. They have a cave/cavern list that is very complete.

Well Orlando is about 3-4 hours away from Miami where I live. It is also in the middle of the state. U will have to drive north to be able to dive the springs. About two hours north to Troy springs. Nice place. Maybe 70' max. super clear water. Or the ocean near port Canaveral. I don't really know what your schedule is like but if you have just a day to dive and no buddy. Troy will be the best bet. But I do not suggest u dive alone.

I use to dive it 2-3 times a week the 6 years I live in Orlando. It's a bit too far of a drive now..

Blue springs is my favorite; when they open again I'd gladly meet up. Alexander and De Leon Springs are both open right now but they've only got 25-30 ft of depth. I was at Alexander this past weekend and I'll be back this Saturday.

i would be down to dive alexander before and would be down to go again. i just get kinda bored. I have never been to De Leon spring though, how is that? where are you located in orlando? just curious.

Hi let me know if anyone is up for diving a spring near the west coast, Buford. My usual dive buddy is in Europe for the next few months. Looking to dive during the week or on the weekend. Also just got a tear in a seam of my 1.5 mm Orca suite and was wondering if anyone knew of a good glue.
