Hello.
I've been dabbling with freediving for a year or so on and off but I'd like to start taking it a little more seriously. Does anyone know of anywhere that does courses in the Melbourne area?

Thanks in advance
Tony.

i want to learn free diving in malborne too.
anybody know a good club to do it?

I'm an Aussie (NSW based) in London but i'm in Melbourne for my brother's wedding last night. At the reception I was talking to a bloke living in Melb that was interested in freediving (wasn't you by chance was it??), so there's definitely enough interest down here to get some guys training. I would suggest getting in touch with the Australian Freediving Association on www.ozfreediving.com/afa or go to the Australian Freediving Community website on www.ozfreediving.com and look in the VIC section.

Cheers,
Ben

hi the place were i get all my spearfishing stuff, has freediving and scuba courses available. its one of the shops inside JV marine, in braeside heres the link Dive and Dive Melbourne Victoria Australia, hope it helps. o by the way the course is designed for people at an intermediate level, the guy there told me i should b able ot sit comfotably on the bottom at a level of 10 meters before signing up. i never botherd tho cos the places were i go spearfishing are only about 10 meters anyway, but im considering it just to improve my techinque. have fun
