Freediving in NW England

Hi Folks,

are there any freediving clubs in the NW of ENgland, Manchester area? I've seen divers training at Dorothea Quarry so I guess there must be some.

A bit of background, I've just started freediving, I trained with Monica & Eusebio at Apnea Total in Thailand but I'd still like to keep the training up back in the frozen UK.

Anyone any suggestions?

I do know of several people who dive in the NW, including the group who dive at Dorothea. Alun (a member of the forums) will no doubt be in touch regarding Dorothea however you might also want to check out the British FreeDiving Assoication (BFA) at http://www.britishfreediving.org for more details on FreeDiving in the UK.

As a slightly shameless plug we also run courses in the UK. Check out http://www.deeperblue.net/courses (but only AFTER you've checked out the BFA!)

If you want to get together for training, transport etc. I live in the stoke / stafford area, currently dive at Chepstow with Saltfree will be trying to get to Dorothea as well!
