Hi,

It's not confirmed yet, but I may be going for a family holiday to Rhodes in late May, and it would be nice to get a little warm-water freediving in whilst there. However, I am the only freediver going, and I won't be able to carry my own kit, so I'm looking for a school on Rhodes that would be able to lend me some kit (fins and weight as a minimum). I've tried Google, but without success. If we go, we'll be staying in Ixia for a week, but I don't mind travelling on the island (or to nearby islands or the southern coast of Turkey at a push, so long as there's a scheduled ferry service there and back).

Does anyone know of anywhere?

Thanks very much in advance!

Dunno about freedive schools, but you’ll wanna go to the other side of the island for more interesting diving!

On the western side / Ixia side of the island it is mostly sandy and shallow quite far out ie not the most exiting spot to dive.

If you go to the other side of the island you’ll have the areas Kallithea, Anthony Quinn bay, Tassos beach etc where it’s a bit deeper, more rocks and fun to dive around and it’s also nice for snorkelling if your friends wanna give it a go.

There is also some places around Lindos, and other places further away from where you are.

If you wanna go somewhere else, take a trip to Symi, my favourite place in the Dodecanese! There are boats doing return trips daily. [emoji4]
