Hello all,
I was first interested in freediving after getting my diving certification 2 years ago. I quit diving about 1 year ago, but I'm interested in getting back into the activity.
I asked one of my friends from a different university in SoCal and he said when he tried to swim under one breath at his pool at CSU Northridge he was prevented by the university (lifeguards?) from doing so. The university that I go to has a newly built pool and I'm pretty sure the rules are the same. They probably would also not be liking the possibility of a freediving death at their pool which they put many public funds into...
My question would be where can beginner freedivers in southern california go if they want to start learning how to freedive? I will be in Riverside specifically, no where near open water.
Thanks
