Hi there! I will be visiting these places for 2 weeks at the end of March, I am quite begginer (recently got my Molchanov's wave 1).
Anyone who has been there? Any recommendation would be amazing!

I also plan to do scuba in Dumaguete/Siquijor as I have more days and I can just rest one day.

Salamat kaayo!

Not sure what "Molchanov's wave 1" is
But I have been freediving in several places on Siquijor and found the best method is to ride around the island perimeter road on my motorcycle and stop when I see a good spot and dive.

Thanks for the recommendation Scott! If you could share to me any of those spots that would be amazing, so I don't need to do the research myself heheh.

@manuaiz33 I hope this response does not reach you too late. I visited Busuanga little over a year ago. Coron town is small, and as a tourist it's all about the sea and you'll be targetted with people promoting scuba certs and snorkelling tours left and right. But as a freediver, especially if you're not travelling with a dive buddy, you'll want to find operators that understand free diving and can take you safely to places god for diving, and provide you will a qualified buddy. There are some freelancing instructors. But I recommend PalaOne Freediving and Apnea Total. I would probably go to Apnea Total for training and courses. And to PalaOne for fun dives and exploring. They have plenty of freediving guides, so even if they did not have the trip I wanted planned for a day. They would set me up with a guide to join me on another boat. Enjoy!

Thanks for the response! Never too late, I have already been to Coron but this might be useful for future visitors for sure! I did two freediving tours. I will try yo explain my experience in the upcoming post (Idk why I cannot put it here cause system doesn't allow me).

My experience:

- Palaone freedivers: it is a specific tour for freediving. It was a bit disapointing for me because I found it as a photodive instead of a fundive. And they where photodivers instead of safety divers. Idk maybe it was me but... I got a few attention and they where so focused on taking good photos to this instagram addicted people (mostly taiwanese).

- AllIn freedivers (same price). You just join a typical snorkeling tour and AllIn provides you a safety diver, so that's the extra you pay. Honestly, you got the value for the money, as you have this safety's whole attention for you. He guided me entering to a couple wrecks and it was sooo funny.

Hope it is helpful for somebody else!

23/07/30 dive spot
Good coral, 3 turtles, no big fish

I think this was a flatter area with a lot of seagrass but more coral if you go out farther. I dove here with a beginner to get them acclimated, saw a few sea snakes

I dove a few other spots but didn't save the locations

Anyways, it was a nice island with lots to see and good diving
