What would you say is the most affordable watch fulfilling these requirements:
  • Really watertight, even when buttons are pressed under water.
  • Having spring bars, allowing any strap of choice.
  • A depth gauge fitting free diving.
  • Good enough quality to last several years.

From reading the reviews, it looks like Pyle is too cheap. Is there nothing between this one and Suunto Core?

You can spend either 70$ on Pyle or 300-400$ on any of the remaining freediving computers. Pyle is OK, I use it for three years and I really like it. It was also sold by Sporasub as SP1 freediving computer. They only used different housing and raised the price three fold.

this will probably sound quite stupid... but why not samsung gear sport 3? marketed as waterproof up to 50m, has a barometer, so if someome would come up with freediving program....? or im missing something?

The reviews for Pyle at Amazon are scary. Regardless of what you buy there will always be some leaving one star, but as much as 14% left a one star review for this product. This is more than acceptable, I think.

When reading the one star reviews ( https://www.amazon.com/Pyle-Waterpr...r&reviewerType=all_reviews#reviews-filter-bar ), it looks like many of these watches do not keep the water out. Then there seems to be problem with corrosion, making the buttons to not work.
