my cue for this questions comes from Abri's answer to
'Freediving with great whites'.

I was trying to figure out
which other
'dangerous to spearos'
sharks he could have meant.
Tiger was the first one that came to mind

Have YOU encountered one while in the water?
WHAT was it like?

I thankfully haven't

(others I thought of were:
bull sharks,
grey reef sharks
and oceanic white tips.)

Hi Peterk ,
Wie gehts ? You got it right first time round ...:D
I personally find tigers hard to "read" compared to most others I have encountered . Have had 5 metre tigers swim right up to me and then just calmly disappear into the distance while on other occasions the same shark , exhibiting the same behaviour will suddenly turn on me and chase me out of the water ...
Bulls I encountered on an almost daily basis and while I have the utmost respect for them ( I have been bumped and had to bump some back to save my fish ) they don't worry me nearly as much .
Grey reefs are OK unless there are a pack of them and getting agitated . They seem to start egging each other on and it becomes impossible to keep track of them whizzing around you .

Unfortunately hunting pelagics will always bring you in close proximity with sharks ...:head

hi

You heard it from the shark pro. hey Abri I hope you dont hang around when those 5metre tigers are roaring around they'll swallow you whole along with your fins and railgun.
