This is a guy who came to the Freeze-A-Palooza last year but is no longer with DeeperBlue. He just never got the hang of what we were telling him. He assured us everything he knows about Freediving he learned from the INTERNET.

I do believe alcohol was involved.

Listen.....I was in a different place then. AA has changed my life, and I'd appreciate you not bringing up all those old photos Scott.

apneists anonymous?
lol the one thing they tell everyone, if you're partying and end up face first in the snow, always have a snorkel!! Its the only way to overcome apneas..

I always laugh when I see that picture on spearboard. Guy has guts obviously. :friday

OK - I FINALLY got the Beach house Reserved today- but, the Lady was asking me if I had all my permits lined up. I have no idea what she is talking about- We've never needed Permits before and when I talked to the DNR and the Local Sheriff's Dept and Think they thought I was high. But I'm working on sorting that out with the lady.

One month to go!

Scuba divers need permits to dive the lake- from the park. I've never heard of anything similar for freedivers.

That is one funny picture, couldn't stop laughing.

The day is coming, see You guys soon

Yeah, It didn't sound like she knew what she was talking about. But even though I didn't have the proper "Permits" she was still eager to take my credit card. rofl

My father-in-law sells the permits if we think we want them, but I'm not planning on buying one. They are around $15-20 a year. If you do have one it gets you into the beach to dive at Lake Nagawicka in the summer as well as Lannon Quarry, in Menomonee Falls, and Foxbrook park in Brookfield.

I just got off the phone with Cirgarlung and he's looking forward to joining us.

I might have to actually come dive then! Cigarlung is the first person from this board that I met to dive with, it was the lake cleanup dive at 3 lil devils. Scott was there but dissed us and dove by himself!

I talked to the Beach house lady and told her I contacted everyone (dnr, local law enforcement) she said "ok" that's good enough for me"

So, We are good to go.

I got promoted at work today (Sergeant Otey-now) and that may affect my days off- but They should allow me to adjust and still take the 7th off- Actually, they don't really have a choice. We'll see.

Sergeant?

Does that mean you get a second bullet for your other shirt pocket?

Hopefully it comes with a pay raise.

Congrats!

Jon

Hey, Big Congrats, Scott!

Ya know, I might just show up to this thing - just to spite zman. Maybe I'll wear a 3mm, too.

Just another note- There is a park pass fee of $5 (I think). There is a booth before you get to the marina area ) beach house, where you can fill out the envelope.

ALSO, If you plan on diving and have a Lanyard- Bring it. I have a few, but if we have 2 holes cut. It would be nice to have enough.

I'm hoping the weather is decent for the spectators- as divers, it won't matter, we'll be under the ice

I just edited the post above. But also, I am always looking for a good song to add to the videos. Any ideas for this upcoming FREEZE-A-PALOOZA will be considered. I have a couple in mind, but my taste isn't always 'the flavor of the month' There not JUST my videos.

I have a couple extra lanyards I can bring- along with ropes.

I'm hoping my new mono will be here by then.

Jon

I'm also thinking of drilling another hole (ice auger) about 10 yards away, where i can stick my snorkle through and get some nice - full shots of people doing there dives. Since I don't have a Wide Angle for my HD.
