Galway - Finswimming?

Hi everybody, I'm an Italian finswimmer and I'm probably going to relocate to Galway (Ireland). As I love finswimming and I've joined a team here in Venice this year, I would like to keep on training also in Galway. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are finswimming clubs there.

I can say that I have never heard of any finswimming clubs in Galway, I am open to correction but there is none in Ireland as far as I know.
There is a lovely bay and a couple of pools though!

Hi Monica,
as Huan says I dont think there is much in Galway but there are a few freedivers/spearfishers dotted around the country. I,m based in Sligo so only an hour and half away. Give us a shout if your ever heading north west.

I'll definitely give you a shout if I get the job in Galway! Fingers crossed!!! If there's no finswimming in Galway/Ireland, I could lauch the idea when I go there!!! Or I could just take up scuba-diving, spearfishing or skin-diving.

Plenty of scope for freediving and spearfishing on the west coast. Stay away from Scuba is my advice, too expensive.
