hey guys, long time since ive started a thread.

anyway i need some help. my static times have gone down dramatically.i havent put on weight or anything ive actually lost a heap of weight thank god. but i did some holds just before only to get to 1min!! i want to get back up to my Pb 4:03 fairly quickly. any methods on how to do this?

thanks

Im sure one of the more informative contributers to the forums can help you alot more than I can, but here is my opinion.
You should use your new time (whether its 1min or less) to tailor a Co2/o2 table to your current level. If you have previously done a Pb of 4:03, then you should have not much trouble increasing your times (and subsequently re-writting your tables) on a regular basis.

Hope it helps. If not..........

punish me? ;)

haha thanks penguinator. i was readin this thing on apnea mania about lying on my bed and just keep on doing max breathholds untill it gets back up. would this help for getting them back up AND increasing above the 4min mark? heres the link,

Do a search and have a look at previous threads on the forum. There is quite alot of information (and debate) about the effectiveness of Tables vs Max hold training and also warmup vs no warmup.

Its all about what you're comfortable with and what works best for you. Dont let anyone else tell you what is the best/worst, because everyone will differ.
