Doing co2 tables tonight and tried doing them with my mouth tongue throat completely relaxed and just holding with the epiglottis.... I only got to 5 contractions and I was croaking lol....literally.....I knew I was having issues because doing some exhale pool statics my mask was pulling on my face hard and I couldn't equalize. Also I feel a lot of the pressure from contractions in my throat I think I close my soft pallet and tongue block while holding???

I feel like if I keep doing holds with my mouth open and relaxed and keep doing exhale holds while equalizing I will be able to control my glotis better?? Any other tips?? Do you hold with just your glotis?? Or maybe start with glotis till you are at depth then switch where you hold?? I know better glotis control will help with equalizing does it help with anything else?? Because to me it seems harder to hold with it like I am straining more?? Sorry for the long post thanks for the time!!!!
