Just what I need as my eyesight and underwater marksmanship recede...!

Russian made APS Automatic underwater rifle or in Russian "Avtomat Podvodnyy Spetsialnyy (Автомат Подводный Специальный).

WAY TO GO...COMRADES! Or is it now "associates?..what the heck.....

Effective range 30 m at depth 5 m (98 ft at depth 16 ft)
20 m at depth 20 m (66 ft at depth 66 ft)
11 m at depth 40 m (36 ft at depth 131 ft)
26 round Magazine

That would certainly get me a few snappers, hogs and groupers here and there.

i'd love to know what type of powder they use in there ammo as the ballistics would be very different to air once thats sorted i think building one could be fun as in new zealand we can by nitrocellulose down at the local sports shop without even needing any sort of licence
i think single shot would be all thats nessisary for fishing:D

yes and primers too
i make all my own amunition it's just a mater of de primining and resizing the case and refilling and pressing a new progectile in, easy

We can get smokeless powder, black powder, bp substitues, primers at guns/sports shops for reloading or muzzleloading. I can even get dynamite, ampho, stingers and blasting caps from authorized explosives dealers but not from any sports shop. Also the paperwork is about 3 pages.
