Lots of hotels in Samara and Carrillo areas -- depends on price really. As for spearo -- the island in Samara bay has some beautiful reefs (go between tides) and Carrillo has several reefs accessible in low and high tide. There is another isla between Carrillo and Samara that (to my knowledge) has no name but apparently has great reefs -- I'm probably getting a 8' inflatable soon, so I can go out diving further offshore.
I'm around all the time (except 4/25 to 5/5) so hit me up and we'll get some fish.
