I t was me that said Razors are easy to collect, and they are.
You have to look for 2 siphons. they are small but appear almost gold in colour and really stand out if you have the sun behind you.
You have to dive down quietly and with thumb and forefinger quickly grab them in the sand. I find that you have to approach them over the sand rather than straight on top. They must have some form of light receptor because they shoot down their holes. When you have a hold of the shell you have to tease them out. Don't let go or else they will dissapear also don't pull too quickly or else the foot comes off.
Where? If you go in from the pier at Port Grat go round a small reef to the right on your way out to the knife and you will see plenty in the patches of sand between the eel grass.
Are you up for a night dive again sometime when this swell dissapears? or anyone else?
Andy
