Glad the gun works mate!! I could fix a camera bracket to it?
I went in from Ladies bay this afternoon but there was a ground swell & the whole bottom was surging back & forth - not good for flatfish!
There was another issue too, the area I like to fish, a lovely strip of powder soft sand, was in about 1mt of water with very poor vis!!
I swam out into the center of the bay were the bottom is all pebbly & gravely but I could see the bottom from the surface in 7-8mt of depth.
I remember Derek saying he once caught a huge plaice in the middle of the bay but he had never caught anything else there so I was not expecting much in the way of flatfish.
I thought there might be some bream around but in fact after 11/2 hours I had not seen one shootable fish. On the way back in I did eventually stubble upon a smallish plaice which we have just scoffed for tea.
All in all a pretty boring dive with mixed vis & very few fish seen!
On reflection I should of gone were my heart had told me too - at Port Grat :head
