Guernsey specimen hunt 2020( Roving pairs specimen hunt 2020)

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
IMPORTANT UPDATE

With regards to the current cursed Corona virus situation, the tightening/closing of borders and travel links the Pairs Comp 2020 might sadly end up being a locals only affair:( (if indeed authorities allow)
However, it is still 3 months away and a lot good/ bad can happen between now and then. WE will therefore further review in a months time when more is known on how the Uk and Bailiwick efforts have panned out before making a definitive decision.

Most importantly stay safe and keep that social distancing, best place has to to be the ocean,.... can that count as washing our hands?

Important Update

Its only fair to say that this competition is still very much on hold.
With mixed messages of acceptable activities, social distancing and group gatherings all still in force, and regardless of other rumours floating around about relaxing restrictions.

In comparison to what's going on globally I fully appreciate that this friendly comp isn't at the front of peoples minds. However, if we get the chance to run it locally that can only be a good thing all round. We will no doubt learn from various hiccups along the way but also realise what is possible or where we can improve, and then next year we could potentially put on an absolute gem of a comp to the wider spearing community.

Wishing you all healthy non Corona filled lives, unless its the one with Lime and bubbles, and hopefully we'll all get to meet up soon and shoot the breeze and hunt a few scaley critters.
