I made a trip to pensacola this weekend and despite leaving both shafts for my aggressor at home I manage to fine a replacement ($56 riffe at a lds)I learned a lesson and will make a checklist next trip so I realize something is missing before I leave and not 250 miles down the road.Viz was good 10ft plus but still snowy and cold .Spring is the time the sheephead come inshore to spawn and they were in force.This pic is the first day with 2 fish around seven pounds and some smaller 5lbs in the mix.The second day was pretty much a repeat but I only shot the bigger fish.I made drops from 15 to 35 ft and tried to go deeper on a channel marker but had to come up cause my right ear refuse to clear,The channel marker is a big sighn with a light on it mounted on a big 3ft diameter pipe stuck in the ground .I had fun and wish my sinuses would have been better so I could reach the bottom around the marker.It had me wondering if diving a rig leg was like that.It's very rare to have no current out there when I'm diving so I got to see more of what was in the area without drifting.The thing I noticed about my new gun besides accuracy is total lack of recoil and I realize I went too American when I built my ti railgun with a 5/16 SHAFT ,9/32 is plenty for any railgun/euro .Gilbert said that two 3/4 bands could be used so if I bought a longer gun than 90cm I would definetly use two 3/4 or three 5/8 with no worry or recoil.Sorry for the long post here is the pic
