I'd like to know if there are specific/special guns used for freeshafting on Scuba? What brands and models please?

Can any gun be used for freeshafting or does it have to be made for this purpose specifically?

(I am just learning about freeshafting and watching YouTube videos but I don't know much about it at all).

I'm not an expert, but I've seen that scuba spearguns must sink with the shaft off. They also carry several spare shaft attached to the barrell and, of course, they're all closed muzzle.

I think the Ocean Rhino guns are what the professional spear fishermen in Florida use.

Ocean Rhino guns have a hyperlink system so that you can switch from lineshaft to freeshaft by removing the ring that slips over a sliding cone to form a line slide. With the ring of the hyperlink stowed on the gun your shaft is now free to fly untethered. The guns tend to be heavy so can easily be made to be sinkers after the shot.
