Heart rate monitor

I see on Ebay a waterproof heart rate monitor by Green+Swiss. with a depth rating of 50 meters..Has anyone tried and tested this product?
Would be great to hears some reviews.

a lot of regular watch manufacturers user the ISO 2281 standard for indicating how waterresistent their watch would be. Apparently one should not take the depth serious at all.

Water resistent: raindrops
50m: Sweat, rain, waterdrops, minimum for bathing and swimming
100m: dito + snorkeling, for frequent use in water, with the exception of diving

I have a Polar RS200, "waterresistent" till 50m (at -25 water penetrated when accidentally pushed a buttton). Its transmitter (chestband) is only 30m waterresistent.

Divers' watches follow a stricter standard ISO 6425

Thanks for the advice,
I would really only be interested in using the watch for my heart rate in static breath-hold..both wet and dry. This watch comes without a chest strap so im wondering how accurate it could be.

this kind of watch will only measure your heart rate the moment you put two fingers on the sensors, so you won't have a continuous monitoring. Then you should give it some time to pick up your pulse and average its readings. Not sure if that works under water

I see...thankyou again for the info,,,..its put me off getting one. I think i would have been dissapointed with it.
