Hi guys,

Here's a short background about me. Fun and outgoing person who loves the outdoors, especially the sea ;) my interest are playing football, running, swimming. Currently studying for degree and I am a open water scuba diver.

Got really interested in free diving recently. I knew about skindiving previously but I thought it was only for people born with that talent because holding your breath for 6 mins sounds impossible to me. Not until I was inspired by Hebert Nitsch in the recent short film, Narcose. Then I began doing some research and was really fascinated by the sport. So I decided to become a freediver and start training from now on.

There is no beach near where I live so I am now starting with dry apnea. I started on 1min and half, now my max breath hold is 2 min and half thanks to the tables and advice I got from this forum! I hope that by joining this forum I will get to meet people sharing the same interest and all the help that I need to be a better freediver. :D

Welcome to Deeperblue. Dry static is certainly a good, safe way to train. This forum has a lot of good information about diving techniques, so you've come to the right place. Plus, you could post in the International Buddy Network if you're looking for a buddy. It can be worth it to get in with the local dive scene.
