Hi everyone, This is Dadaly. I am from Cambodia. I am looking forward to my very first freediving course in Amed, Bali in July 2018. Any tips and tricks before I head out? Nice to know everyone here ;)

Hi Dadaly and welcome to the forum!

Tips and tricks?

You have not told us anything about yourself so I don't know how experienced you are in the water? But if I'd give a tip to someone without any experience I'd say; practice equalizing beforehand so you are familiar with the procedure. If you go to Bali and notice that you don't have the technique down and that the equalizing is the one thing hindering your progress, well, that would suck greatly!

The other thing is; make sure you have equipment that is good for you (mask, fins). It does not have to be fancy expensive stuff, just stuff that fits you good. Sometimes it can be real hard to find the right gear in a new place especially if it's a bit remote, and it's not that much fun chasing around trying to find a new set of fins when on vacation.

Hey there, thank you for your advices. I've contacted the diving school, i'll be taking the first level freediving course with them for two days and they said the equipments are provided. Though i have also ordered my mask. Not the fins though, I've planned to use what's provided for me. Furthermore, do you have any where recommended i can go look/read/watch for the equalization techniques?
