Hi everyone, I'm glad I came across this forum a couple of weeks ago, and glad to have been accepted by Papa Smurf as well :) I must say that I find this forum extremely helpful in gathering information most especially for beginners or those not yet into the sport. Please let me introduce myself...

I am a scuba diver and always wanted to learn freediving. I do not live close to the ocean but during my childhood had spent many family vacations on beaches around my home country. I love the ocean but oddly enough, I am also afraid of it. That is probably the main reason I have been putting off learning how to freedive for a long time (since 2009)...

Just recently, I found long fins that cater to small feet but was sceptical... and prior to that, almost committed to settling for a pair that were obviously too big for my feet (solution was to wear it with socks and booties). Just by going through message threads and reading different opinions & experiences, it has helped me in my decision on what I think suits my feet best. Right now, it's just a matter of a click of a button, and how soon I will be able to get into the water to test them out, after I brave myself up for some basic freediving lessons. No more excuses this time :)

Thanks again everyone!
