Hi Dimas,

Couple of questions for you (or anybody else). Next summer I'll be in Indonesia for 5/6 weeks and I'll be on Bali for at least 10 days (staying in Sanur). Is shore diving any good or do you always need to take a boat out? Is it easy to charter a local fisherman and his boat and if so roughly how much do they charge?

There's a guy who does trips who gets great reviews on Trip advisor and I'm happy to use him once or twice but I would rather shore dive and charter my own boat most of the time.

Any info appreciated.

Hello Woohoo,

Sanur isn't good for shore diving, you will need to head further north...at least to Padang Bai area or take a boat over to Lembongan.

Have fun!
