Be aware that i'm complete newbie :t

Hello Kamil

I am from Southbourne just up the road. I am newcomer also but do spearfishing not freediving (I guess it's freediving if the fish aren't there).

Having recently acquired my gear I have just one trip under my belt last Saturday. I plan to dive tomorrow early am at Boscombe from dawn till about 10.30. I'll be out there between the double high tide. I do not know what the vis is like, the pier was shut when I went for a dawn run down to it this morning (opens at 9.30am for reference). There may be no fish around, however I want to build up knowledge of this area and build up experience.

Have you been out at all?

Simon

ps not sure if you have found it, but there is a dedicated thread for Dorset spearos.

Hi there,
Moving to Bournemouth next week, totally new here, would be great to hook up and talk. Planning to do some freediving, would be good to have a buddy.

Hello everyone,

Good to see that there is interest in the area. I am in the same situation; recently moved to Bournemouth, experience in snorkelling (used to live in tropical area) but no formal freediving qualifications/experience, but keen to start freediving.

I have been trying to find a club in Bournemouth area that would have pool times without success. Anyway, there seems to be plenty of experienced people and newcomers in the area so we should be able to do something about this.
