This is John form Texas. Started diving in the late 1960's. Since moving to Texas about 9 years ago central Texas gave up diving because not mot many places here and getting up in age but enjoy connecting with the hobby.

Welcome to the forums! While I don't think Texas is especially known for its diving, I believe there is a good bit of lake diving near Austin and I hope to one day make it onto one of the weekend boats out to the Flower Garden Banks Marine Sactuary off the Texas Gulf coast that looks like it has Caribbean-quality diving way offshore from Freeport, Texas (link below).

Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary is an underwater park located 80-125 miles off the Texas and Louisiana coastline. this marine protected area is managed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
