Hi everybody. I'm getting back into spearfishing after my old dive buddy and his wife (my other old dive buddy) encouraged me to start taking their son and his friend out spearfishing for White Sea bass and halibut. We've been having a great time. My buddy's son got his first White Sea bass last week. My only problem now is that I'm older and can't see the halibut as well without my progressive lenses. I'm on here to find out what's available so I can see what I'm doing. Also learning about new equipment. A dive shop traded my old Riffe H gun yesterday to hang as an antique I'm pretty sure. I got a new Andre 125cm mid handle teak (enclosed track) I couldn't be happier. Well...maybe happier if I could see with some progressive lenses in my mask hahaha.
You're in the right area. A new world record white sea bass, 94.2 pounds, was taken at Naples reef a week or so ago.
