I live far from the coast, but use every moment I am there to enjoy the ocean. Always wanted to spearfish and the time is right for me now. I am a keen rifle and bowhunter and underwater hunting must be awesome! Thanks for the good advice on this forum!

I may be traveling to Johannesburg next June. Would be nice to get in the water over there and see something new. How far is good diving from there?

Some inland lakes within 1 hour of Joburg. Mostly old mining quarries. Not really worthwhile and mostly for for beginners to train.
