Hello all! Very excited to join the group. Not much diving up here in this land locked state, but I get down to Florida every so often and would love to meet people down there who could show me some good dive spots, and teach me the ropes of spearfishing. I look forward to talking and learning from you all!

Hey, welcome to the forums! I was in Adams, Tennessee, a few years ago, and frequently went into Kentucky. There didn't seem to be many diving options in that region. Do you prefer freediving, scuba, spearfishing, or a combination?

I have been freediving since I was a kid without knowing what it was, just grew up swimming all through college and would always compete with teammates to see who could go the deepest when we trained in the open water. I love scuba, but prefer the freedom of less gear! A snorkel and a wetsuit just feels so natural. I haven't done any spearfishing yet but i am dying to try that out. There's nothing like fresh fish tacos! Thanks for the response!
