Wecome to DB Brandon. I don't think we have too many people from Texas, but maybe some will pop up.
I just Googled Snyder, and it looks like you are a long way from salt water.
In the late 60s I was stationed in Beeville, about 60 miles from Corpus. I did a lot of fishing and some diving out of Port Aransas and from as far north as Port O'Connor and as far south as Port Isabel.

Yeah I mostly dive out of country. I am as far from water as Texas allows. Lol. I am planning trip to corpus in march actually. Not a good time as far as spring but I take any days they will give me at work.
