im an avid diver from the northeast, narragansett, rhode island, specifically. ive been diving seriously for about 3 years, last year i speared competitively for the first time and qualified for a team to go to the nationals next year. lucky for me they happen to be RIGHT HERE. i do about a half a dozen scuba dives a year, im an advanced open water diver, but i like freediving much more. i started shooting band guns but last year got turned on to a cyrano 970 (my new love) but there is a love triangle developing, because i am in teh process of building my own gun...

any tips on building a gun are appreciated, right now i have a rectangle for a stock and am trying to decide how to shape it. specific numbers are the best (ex. 1 1/2 inch thick) etc. the stock is 40" long as it is, and im ordering a 45" shaft so it cant get too much shorter.

Welcome aboard mate, plenty of info. here on gun-building, just search the threads.

Welcome to db fishyak, what style of gun are you planning on? Pretty Euro style, not so pretty American style, mid handle?

kind of a mix, a wood euro? is there such a thing? im waiting on getting the trigger mech and any handle installation tricks you have are cool
