Hello,

The guide adviced me to post a thread up here to introduce myself. So here it is.
Im new to freediving, I finished my SSI level 1 a few months ago. I had to wait a long time for it
Because I wasn't the right age yet. As soon as I hit the proper age I took the first course.
I did my first static training a few days ago, and I really enjoyed it. I have also done one dynamic
Training since i finished the course. The bad thing is that there aren't many freediving spots, and i
Still have to buy my first wetsuit, i'm leaning one right now. I hope that this year, and all the other
Years, will be a good freediving year for you guys (and me).

Hi,

I'm living in the Netherlands, some of my buddy's now good sites. Most of them are to far to walk or cycle. So i probably have to take a train
because I'm not allowed to drive :S

I hear ya. My favorite sites are a couple of hours away. It would be nice to live closer to the water.

How did you like your SSI training? I did my scuba cert through them.

I liked it very much,
Like i said i had been waiting to do it for almost a year. So i was really exited that I could do the course.
At first it was hard to use the big fins, it still is actually. The final day was even better, we went to Germany
to a 20 metre deep pool (Dive4Life). If you don't know the place, you could watch some video's on youtube.
In the end i managed to dive to a depth of 17 metres! something i never thought i would accomplish.
I hope that i can reach the bottem of 20 metres next time.

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome. I did my course with Eric van Riet Paap. If you don't know him, he has several NR's in the Netherlands.
Together with Danny Martherus he helped me to get my SSI level 1. They did a great job, had a lot of patience and were always nice.
