I would like to briefly introduce myself. I was born in Sardinia, Italy, but I'm a sort of contemporary wandering...therefore I'm continuously moving and this is why I have decided to sign up to this forum, because I was looking for a place where I could find international information about free-diving...
And of course...since I want to share this passion with such a huge international community...

Hi Stephan and Dario,
Yes...I'm a sort of maniac about spearfishing...I don't catch anything , but I enjoy to go under the water with my speargun. When I have the time, I have fun creating my wood spearguns. For me It is great to fish with something made by yourself...
I haven't any experiences of fishing in the ocean, but I can assure that you can have a lot of fun fishing around Sardinia.

Long ago my wife and I rode our bicycles from Nice to southern Tuscany, then took ferries from Livorno to Sardinia and back to Nice. We were only on Sardinia for a day and didn't have any chance to get in the water, but I'll always wish we could have. It looked so beautiful.

It is absolutely a nice place, the water is really clear and the sea bottom is really different from an area to another one. This feature allows to have a great amount of possibilities about fishing because you can find a good variety of species and you can use different techniques...Or if you prefer you can fish in the blue. There are several spots crossed by tunas like San Pietro's island in the south of Sardinia. Every year they organize a traditional event called "Mattanza" where the fishermen catch a big amount of tunas...during this event if you want you can swim and free dive inside the nets surrounded by these beautiful animals...
