Hi everyone!
I am thinking about making a blue water buoy/float, because where I live the do not sell it, and buying that from abroad is very expensive.
Can someone help me with that? I have a couple of ideas. The first one is to use one of those baywatch floats, or maybe a solid type of float. The other idea is to use an auto wheel tube. It would be use to hunt yellowtail amberjacks. I would really appreciate any help given.
Thanks a lot!

You have to think about whether you need the float to be able to stand up to being dragged deep and avoid being compressed. I am not sure Amberjack go deep after have being shot? E.g. Wahoo goes mostly to the horizont whereas Dogtooth head straight for the bottom.

If compression resistance is needed, then if you go with a lifeguard float, you need to fill it with 2-component PU foam, and a sturdy version of that, which I am not sure you can find where you are.

Some guys have had good luck using lobster/crabbing floats, sometimes mounted back to back:

So, find a shop that sells gear to fishermen and have a look at what they have.
Good luck:)
