Hey all (ballina spear fishing?)

Hi guys/girls, ive been doing a bit of spear fishing lately, im fairly new to the sport although i spend a fair bit of time in the water surfing (or trying to) and what not. I live in Ballina NSW, ive been heading out spearing by my self for the last couple of months when the swell is down. Im pretty keen to meet up with some other peole around the area who head out spearfishing, or even free diving. Im finding it a bit sketchy going out by my self all the time so i was hoping to find some dive buddies. If anyone reading this is local to the are and would like to head out some time that would be great. Alternatively does anyone know if ther are any spearfishing clubs around this area, ive had a bit of a look and it doesn't seem as if there is. Cheers
