Hi everyone.

I'm fairly new to freediving - I took the AIDA ** and *** one after the other in Koh Tao, Thailand in August.

Since then I haven't been able to dive deep :( I have though been trying to improve at STA and DYN as I have access to a pool.

I have a couple of questions if anyone has time to answer them:

1) What is the best beginner DYN finning technique(s) using bi-fins? (I can't get over 90m, but my breathholds are quite good - maybe better finning is the answer)

2) I have been able to do dry STAs of 5mins over the last few weeks using a 5 in, 10 out breathe-up. Then I tried mixing in a 5 in, 5 out pattern last night and managed 6 mins exactly - a new PB :t It felt almost easy. But Is 5:5 breathing hyperventilating? Would it be safe to use out diving?

Many thanks,

Dan in Koh Lanta
