I'm new to the forum so thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Bec, 30, from Stoke, UK.

Where I live is pretty cold and landlocked so until recently I had never spent much time in the sea, but finally got the chance in Belize last month. Loved watching the fish and other wildlife and want to see more .

I've booked myself on a freedive course next month, so just looking for interesting info and advice while I wait for that to start. I have no experience but very interested!

Welcome to Deeperblue! You're off to a great start. A course will teach you some excellent safety principles as well as providing a good foundation for your technique.

Congratulations on the Belize trip; that's a great way to get hooked! If everyone who wanted to see if they liked diving went to Belize first, then everyone would be an instant fan, I think! Have fun in your freediving course!
