Greetings from Germany!

just started spearfishing last summer in Lithuania, got addicted, then had to leave for Bonn, Germany. No knowledge of spearing regulations/community/locations here whatsoever :( Any advice would be appreciated!

Cant help you with any advice with German regs but welcome to db :)

Welcome to DB! Spearfishing is striclty forbidden in the whole Germany, and according to [ame="http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speerfischen"]WikiPedia[/ame] in other countries speaking German as well (Austria, Switzerland). AFAIK, it is also forbidden in several other neighbor countries - I know about the Czech Republic, Netherlands, but it may be the case in others too.

As Trux mentioned: It's strictly forbitten in Germany! The best thing would be that you concentrate yourself to freediving and wait for your holidays. There are a lot of cheap airways-ticket to Italy (Ryanair, German Wings) etc

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
No big deal, am only here in Germany to work for a while. Talked to one scuba guy today at work. There is so few big fish around here they have given them NAMES. Would not have the heart to shoot them, probably. Italy also seems nice, will have to do it someday. But it is the dark, cold and green waters of Lithuania where I am at home. Visibility may not be the best, but that just enhances the fun in a way. Anyone with experience in northern freshwater spearing in Europe?

Welcome to DB, Pierkunas!

As said above, no spearing, but You're welcome to drop by for some freshwater diving here at Lake Constance on the weekend around March 17th.
Search for my 'formal invitation' in the 'Find a buddy...' section.
