Hi, my name is Phil and i'm from Quebec, Canada. I tried spearfishing last summer with a friend and I really liked it.

So i'm new in free diving and spear fishing. I'm here to learn all the basic information about spearfishing. I know a few good lake with a good visibility (30 feet) and I bought a 3 pieces Cressi aluminium pole spear (Amazon product). I know I don't have the best equipment but it's all good for my needs.

I'm sorry for my poor english, i'm better in reading than writing.

Welcome to Deeperblue! There is a lot of good information here. I do recommend taking a freediving class. They are unparalleled for learning proper, effective technique for diving and for safety.
