Hey everyone
Great to find this site. I'm an ocean fanatic who grew up snorkeling mainly in the Indian ocean on the reefs. I love it, so this year did a basic free diving course then SSi1 & SSI2. I'm now wanting to enter competitions but need someone to train with for Dynamic in the pool, so if there's anyone in the area interested, please let me know? rofl There are also some great shark dive spots here where you can get very close & personal with the very rare 7 gill Cow sharks, 5-12 footers, so if you keen on that too, I have a good connection for you. Look forward to meeting all you Cape Town free divers & others when you're in the area.

I can imagine what a session with these 'cow sharks' could look like; "welcome aboart, we're going to visit some big sharks. Please if you have a monofin spash and jump over board. "But I don't see any sharks yet?" "no worries mate there will be soon when the chum is in the water" "but where is the chum?" - push - "you are the chum! - ha ha - evil laugh"

Anyway there are SA freedivers on this site, and Hanlie Prinsloo of Hanli Freediver

The only sharks I saw in the wild were small dog-sharks in Bretagne France, which were exiting to catch with my hands as these 1m long ones were sleeping on the seabed. Very beautiful graceful creatures.
